THE MOST IDEAL WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION
A
coordinated, aerial wildfire attack. Unexpected, low tech, cheap, easy.
It exploits nature's power and strikes at our nation's undebelly of
vulnerability. This would produce more damage and death over a wider
area than any other weapon of mass destruction . . . PERIOD.
It
would only take one to four bad guys. The attack could take place at
night. Enemy agents would be gone and safely landed by time anyone
understood what had been orchestrated against us. There would be no
return address on this sort of attack, as would be formed with a
long-range missile. Small planes or ultra-light
aircraft could fly pre-arranged routes and drop ignitions every quarter
mile for several hundred miles, perpendicular to strong, regional
winds, during high drought codes. Each year CNN shows the entire world
that we have no ability to stop even one ignition under strong
conditions. An intentional, well-laid pattern of 100,000 to 200,000
ignitions would be a deadly, unstoppable attack.
We've
all seen the pictures of twisted cars and burnt-out foundations left
after strong wildfires pass through rural and even urban settlements.
These after-action photos look ominously similar to the aftermath of
B-52 bombing raids.
